My MM Lie

If you guessed #1 in the Two Truths and A Lie about me yesterday, you are right. My brother is not a Professional Football Player,  however he does play for the Oklahoma Maddogs! The Maddogs are a Semi-Pro Oklahoma Metro Football League team out of Oklahoma City! He used to play for the Southern Oklahoma Roughnecks. He is #67. Jason Scott is 4yrs younger than me to the day, October 27, and is indeed a pastor in Southern OK! I am soooo proud of him! He and his wife are on a huge journey right now to lose weight through Medifast for health reasons. She has a blog as well and so does he. LizzyDear's Life and 100lbs in 2010 Challenge! She will be tracking their journey through her blog, so if you get a chance, follow along!

The guys from the Ardmore Area, Jason's best friend from H.S. Billy is on the bottom Left, #57

MckLinky Monday: Two Truths and a Lie

Today at The RHOK Mrs. Priss came up with a fun game to play, a game called Two Truths and a Lie.

I will tell you three things about myself and you try to figure out which one is the lie.
I'll let you know the answer in the comments section.

Here goes:

1. My brother plays professional football!
2. My brother and I share the same birthday!
3. My brother is a preacher!

Gee, I must be needing to call my brother for some reason!!

Now which one is my lie, which two are my truths? After you tell me, I'll tell you! Then link up to The RHOK!!

WW: A Week of Pics

I'm a little behind in posts and pictures, can you say BUSY!!! So I'm just gonna get it down with as few words as possible and pretty much let the pictures tell my stories!
Braden's First Day of School- August 12, 2010
Braden & Kaybrie waiting for the bus on the first day of school!

Kaybrie was like the Energizer Bunny at Braden's Scrimmage on Saturday, she just kept cheering and cheering. We had to make her sit down for four plays at a time just to make her rest and get water into her! Don't know where she gets it, hmmm maybe from her Moma, maybe from her Grandma. Probably a little of both!

Go, Go, Go. Big G, Little O- Go!

MckLinky Monday: What Do I Write About?

Mrs. McGillicutty recently returned from the much coveted Blogger convention called BlogHer! Yes, over 2000 women this year congregated in New York City with the sole purpose of improving upon their writing skills, no intentions of touring or meeting any of the other fantabulous women in our great community we call the blogosphere! (wink, wink)

And with that inspiration she received she poses the question to us today.

Let's say you're in an elevator at a blogging convention, and you meet someone new. Or let's just say you're at your local blogger meet up or Twitter tweet up. Or let's just say you've just answered the question, "A Blog? What's a blog?"

When they ask you "What do you write about," what do you say?

Well, now for me that is a loaded question. Here at The 4-Crow's I write about my family. All the ins and outs of our life as we live, laugh, love and learn each day! This blog is private for the time being to protect my family from the prying eyes of those I do not want in. I am open to readers, and for the most part allow other readers in all they have to do is ask!  It is frustrating as a writer to be on the private blog list, but I am so thankful that I have found another outlet to share my writing.

Most of my readers know that I helped co-found another blog in April of 2010 called The Real Housewives of Oklahoma or The RHOK for short.  At The RHOK I write under the name of Mrs. Hart. The blog's purpose is to give a voice to south central United States women, primarily Oklahoma, primarily,  Housewives. Here I write about issues that I face day to day as a housewife, mother, and woman. I can use my southern humor, charm and conservatism. I write with the purpose of reaching to others who can relate to either what I have been, am, or will be going through!

I encourage all of my readers to make sure that you go to The RHOK today to read the other responses of this MckLinky Monday post today, while there write your own and link up!

MckLinky Monday: Back to School Time: Happy or Sad?

Mrs. Nesbitt brings to us the MckLinky Monday question at The RHOK today:

So how do you feel about this time of year? Is back to school a happy or sad time? Or maybe a little of both?

For me, although some of you will not believe it I'm a little-

Where did the summer go? I really had a lot of plans and didn't get any of them done! Of course I am already accustomed to getting up at 6:30 am now that I started babysitting on July 19th, but not so much accustomed to going to bed at midnight since football practice started last week!
Bitter, because lets just say I am not looking forward to my baby boy moving to a new school four miles away from home! It doesn't even look like I am going to be able to volunteer as HomeRoom Parent or Assistant this year-I mean how can I possibly with my newfound responsibilities called a JOB? :-(
And what about the bus stop, 3 blocks down the street by the main road, which is very busy I might add! Also, I hate it because I know how fast this school year will go by and that just means another year closer to my baby growing to adulthood!
Sweet, because finally maybe someone else can deal with his boredom and maybe they can inspire him to reach for his dreams and succeed in life! Oh and did I mention the 10 year old mouthiness and knowing more than me has officially arrived in my household. We are to the point where he wants to be tough one minute and cry like a banchy the next. I was introduced to his bicep muscles the other day- Lighting and Thunder! People really struggle with treating him like an almost 10 year old, being that he is as tall as most adult women at 5'1" and 98lbs.  He truly has a BIG heart, very sensitive. He will make a great boyfriend one of these days, and will definitely be left with a broken heart a few times I am afraid! Hopefully not! But, I have laid down the law, no girlfriends until after he finishes Medical School. He believes me for now. I think. LOL!
1st day of school 2009-2010. See how excited he was? He didn't even want to turn around for a picture!

WW: The Crow Wagging Tongue !?!?

Football practice started this week in Oklahoma and of course with it came the very HOT temperatures! I heard one person say 111*, but I only saw 106* in my car!  Our 4th grade team looks good so far, of course we are only two days into practice!
I caught the above picture in Tuesday nights practice, I just thought it was a cute Daddy/Son
Coach Crow/ Player moment but realized once I got home that it was a little more of a family trait moment that I hadn't noticed of my husband before. You see I've noticed that Kaybrie sticks her tongue out when she is focused on something and my MIL told me that her other son Marc does this as well. So now it is caught on digital camera: The Crow's have a Wagging Tongue!

MckLinky Monday: Friends

On this MckLinky Monday Mrs. Albright is wanting to know what qualities are important in your friendships. As I edited her post last night I couldn't help but have tears in my eyes as I thought of a few of my friends and even of my recent post on The RHOK about Friends.

It wasn't until I became a SAHM that I realized what true friendships were. I began to repair left behind friendships and made new ones. Just like Mrs. Albright, my life is made up of God, my husband and my family. My husband is ultimately my best friend, but I have discovered just like her that I need my girls! My post before wasn't specific but now I am going to tell what qualities are important to me in friendships!

To be my friend, you have got to not just act like my friend, but truly BE my friend! That means in all settings, no matter where we are or what we are doing! You have to love my children and be willing to do just as much for them as you would do for me! Friendship is a two way street!

You have to laugh at me, with me and beside me!

You have to cry with me, cry on me or just listen if I want to cry!

You have to listen to me gripe, gripe to me or gripe with me!

We have to agree to disagree at some point and know that it might hurt each other's feelings, but it's all good!

You have to love to eat as much as I do and diet as much as I do and yo-yo as much as I do!

You must be open to try new things, just as I am open to try new things!

...and the rules are subject to change whenever and however but we have to discuss them first. After all, we are GIRLFRIENDS!
This is Tonya, my first friend, my FOREVER FRIEND

This is Stacye, a friendship formed in a workout class that has only grown stronger due to common interest, kids and because we think sooo much alike!
Angie- We were brought together through our husbands. A strong bond & love for each others families that has lasted a lifetime and will continue for several generations if we have anything to do with it!

My RHOK Friends, minus Kristin, strong women who have a common interest with me, blogging. Without them and their encouragement and understanding, I wouldn't be writing and improving on something I love so much!
